Treasure Hound Donations/Hours/Procedures



All the merchandise for sale in the Treasure Hound has been generously donated by caring individuals just like yourself.  100% of our sales goes directly to the 100+ dogs/60+ cats/kittens our NO-KILL animal shelter, Friends of Homeless Animals.    All donations to the Treasure Hound are tax deductible!


  •  Monday - Saturday,  10am - 5pm.  
  •  Sunday, 12-5pm.    
  •  We cannot make any exceptions to these hours.   

NOTE:   Property management does not allow any items to be left outside our donation door at any time, or they will have them removed from the property.


Donations Wanted

The Treasure Hound resale shop accepts donations of new and quality, gently used merchandise with all the proceeds going directly to the care of our dogs and cats.  

Items MUST be clean, in working condition.  Clothing/linens must be clean & free from stains/tears.  Furniture must have all parts & be in good, saleable condition.   We do NOT have the resources to repair or fix any items of any kind..

While not all inclusive, some of the items our store can use:

  • Smaller-scale furniture
  • Artwork
  • Household decorative items 
  • New appliances 
  • Jewelry
  • Antiques and collectibles
  • New or gently used linens (including comforters, pillows, blankets, curtains, tablecloths, vintage)
  • SEASONAL decorative items
  • Clothing items
  • Books (including children's, hardbook, paperback, and vintage)
  • Movies
  • and, of course, Pet supplies.

We CANNOT accept:

  • Electronics/TVs
  • Aquariums
  • Baby furniture or equipment (strollers, car seats, etc)
  • Encyclopedia sets/Magazines/Cassette tapes
  • Children's toys/games/puzzles (unless new/unopened)
  • Sports Equipment & Carrier Racks
  • Gym Equipment
  • Large furniture pieces & those broken, torn or soiled.
  • Any sharp objects including kitchen knives/cutlery/weapons
  • Any item with actual animal fur (to include clothing & accessories)   

Donation Procedures at The Treasure Hound:  

If you have any question as to whether we will accept particular items you are interested in donating, please call ahead.

AT THE SHOP:    Please leave your donation in your vehicle & come in to notify the cashier of your donation.   You will be directed to the side donation door to make your dropoff & to fill out your tax deductible receipt.

NOTE:  If you need assistance with unloading your donation, please let us know and we'll try to help to the best of our ability.    

Donations can NOT be brought inside the shop as we simply are not setup to accept them there.   Based on the limited processing time from 5-6pm Monday through Saturday, and for the safety of our volunteers/staff not opening side doors after dark, we cannot make ANY exceptions for donations after 5pm.  While we appreciate your kind generosity, we will simply request you bring your donations back during our donation hours.    We appreciate your understanding.

Donation Pickups:

At this time, we do not have the capacity to make any furniture/donation pickups.
